Date Established: October 1963

PL propagation in Hawaii started in October 1963 by a minister who was appointed from Japan along with a Hokyoshi couple who lived there in order to reach out to the many immigrants who moved from Japan to Hawaii. The first location was established in the Palolo District of Kaimuki, in a two story building. Later, the church had to relocate a few times until the current property was purchased in 1971. Then, in 1980, a new church building was built and continues to assist the members at this location today.

Church Activities: “PL Thanksgiving Service” held on the 21st of every month, Sunday Services, other church services and ceremonies (please see link for detailed schedule and information), Year-end Mochi Pounding Event, garage sales, among other activities.
