Parenting Problems
Children learn by imitating the actions of those around them as they grow. Parents especially are the closest to them, and will be the best role models for their children. All parents want their children to mature into successful individuals, and so they will teach their children what to do and what not to do. However, if the parents themselves are not good examples for them, the children will not listen.
PL teaches us through PL Precept No. 15 that “All is a Mirror.” Children are also a mirror of their parents. If you see a problem with your child’s attitude, you are actually seeing your own state of mind reflecting upon your child. So be thankful that you are able to learn your shortcomings through your child, and instead of trying to make the child change, correct your own state of mind. That is the key to successful parenting. PL can assist you with any questions you may have about raising your children.
